11-2-2010 NHL All-Star Skill Competitions
The annual All-Star event kicked off today with the skill competitions. Team North America and Team World competed in six different races and the fans got to see their stars shine.

Team World won the puck control relay with a team of Alexander Ovechkin, Ilya Kovalchuk and Marian Hossa.

Scott Niedermayer of Team North America won the fastest skater competition, beating Alexander Ovechkin in the final.

Jarome Iginla of Team North America won the hardest shot competition with a result of 90 MPH, beating Patrik Elias in the final.

Sidney Crosby of Team North America won the accuracy shooting competition, beating Ilya Kovalchuk in the final.

Rick DiPietro of Team North America won the goalie competition (pass&score), beating Kari Lehtonen in the final.

Team North America won the breakaway relay with a team of Sidney Crosby, Mike Green and Dion Phaneuf.

The yearly clash between Team North America and Team World will take place tomorrow.
